GSO Test

The Local Governing Board at Holy Trinity Lamorbey exists to bring both support and challenge to the Head Teacher and the wider school, and plays a central role in ensuring the school fulfils its ambition to provide a truly world-class education for all learners.

The LGB achieves this by ensuring that the quality of learning and outcomes for every child sits at the heart of every decision the school makes. We support the school to make the right decisions, even if these are not always the easiest or cheapest, because we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life.

We do this through:

  • Active and informed interrogation of data
  • Regular learning walks with senior leaders and the Amadeus Trust
  • Scrutiny and testing of strategic development plans
  • Ensuring value for money, financial management and legal compliance
  • Engaging with the wider school community to give everyone a voice

This is a hugely exciting time for the school, as the coming academic year sees not only a much-improved learning environment, but also a bold and ambitious new school ethos that reflects our commitment to being a truly inspirational place of learning. This ethos is summarised in our strapline: ‘Transforming lives – building futures’, and everything we do here – whether as a teacher, child, parent or Governor - is based on our belief that education can be truly transformational.

Our action planning focuses on defined areas that link specifically with the school’s development priorities. These include:

  • The key lines of enquiry identified by the school
  • Ethos, vision and values
  • An innovative and radically new curriculum
  • Exceptional learning and personal development for all
